  • Senior Lighting Designer

    Design Department

    We are currently recruiting for experienced Lighting Designers to join our Kings Road Design Studio.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an architectural lighting design studio working on high end residential and/or hospitality projects both domestic and international. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear passion for lighting as well as interiors and architecture. Educational backgrounds in interior architecture, interior design or product design would be beneficial but relevant experience in lighting is a necessity. This exciting and rewarding role will give the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most exciting luxury lighting projects.

    Some of the main roles for this position include;
    • Working as part of a team to create discreet lighting designs for our clients
    • Creating lighting specifications for luminaires and controls
    • Producing CAD drawings of lighting layouts
    • Compiling design concept presentations
    • Commissioning of the lighting systems
    • Site meetings for co-ordination
    • Project management including co-ordination with other project members
    • Liaising with clients in our showroom to demonstrate lighting effects and to give design advice

    Applicants should be able to demonstrate good design and technical skills as well as being highly organised. IT essentials include proficient use of AutoCAD, and MS Office with advanced software and product training given in-house. Photoshop skills are beneficial. The candidate should be fluent in written and spoken English and an excellent communicator and people person. We are looking for a team player who will be a valuable addition to our dynamic team. This is a full-time position and the vacancy is available immediately.

  • Lighting Design Assistant

    Design Department

    We are currently recruiting for a Design Assistant within our Kings Road Design Studio. This is position is ideal for a candidate looking to start a career in lighting design. In depth design training is provided in-house by experienced members of our design, technical and controls teams. 

    The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear passion for architectural lighting as well as interiors and architecture. Successful completion of an interior architecture or interior design course/degree; or work experience in the lighting industry would be preferable. 

    This exciting and rewarding role will give the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most exciting luxury lighting projects in the fields of residential, hospitality and marine applications.  

    Some of the main roles for this position include; 

    • Working as part of a team to create discreet lighting designs for clients 
    • Creating lighting specifications for luminaires and controls 
    • Producing CAD drawings of lighting layouts 
    • Compiling concept presentations to illustrate design proposals 
    • Adjustments and commissioning of the lighting system 
    • Site meetings 
    • Project management including co-ordination with other project members 
    • Liaising with clients in our showroom to demonstrate lighting effects and to give design advice

  • Aftersales Service Co-Ordinator

    Operations Department

    The primary function of the Aftersales Service Co-ordinator is to assist the Operations Director in delivery of a superior customer service by ensuring customer communications are answered effectively and efficiently throughout the day.

    This is a customer service position. You must be ‘hands on’ and can multi-task and adapt to change. You will therefore need to be highly organised and a good communicator as the position requires the support of your colleagues and co-ordination between different departments both within the company and outside. You must act as the voice of the customer within John Cullen.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in customer service is required, preferably in a luxury goods or brand focused industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver the highest level of customer service to John Cullen clients and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • To ensure that any Customer Complaints about products/performance are immediately dealt with according to our policies and procedures.
    • Log all Customer Service complaints and analyse and identify trends reporting issues at operational meetings. Use this information to build a FAQ of common enquiries and issue resolutions.
    • Provide Aftersales support to all customers and respond within a reasonable amount of time to all issues according to our SLA’s.
    • Log all Aftersales issues and produce any required reports to any relevant parties to support corrective actions.
    • Help deliver the Warranty service for all John Cullen product (RMA procedure) and liaise with both our suppliers and any necessary third parties.
    • Initiate follow-up phone calls with our customers following the resolution of corrective actions.
    • Initiate communication with our customers in situations where product delivery has exceeded commitment dates, advising them of delays and where necessary suggesting alternatives.

  • Sales Administrator

    Sales Department

    The primary function is to support the Sales team in the administration of the department, specifically regarding managing incoming calls and emails and simple order processing

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage all incoming calls to Sales, determining who they should go to, and ensuring the customer’s expectations are set and they are kept informed
    • Manage sales email enquiries, determining who they should be answered by across the business (Sales, After Sales, Design etc)
    • Process simple orders – raising a quote, invoices and take payments
    • Be fully aware of the JCL product range and all its unique selling points

    Experience

    • Up to three years in an administrative role in a service and product sales environment
