For this contemporary kitchen lighting project, we have three scenes to move between to show the full creative lighting scheme. Lighting is the one interior design tools that you can change at the touch of a button. This kitchen is a great illustration of this as it shows the contrast different lighting effects can make to a space.

The first is a scene showing this contemporary space just lit with downlights; a combination of plaster-in single Trimless and Double Trimless fittings blend in with the plastered ceiling to create a minimal architectural effect.  Positions are cleverly positioned by our designers to highlight what is required; the cupboard fronts, both ends of the kitchen islands and the centre of the dining table.

It is only when looking at the second scene does the kitchen really come alive; layered lighting is added to create maximum impact. Warm Contour HD24 LED strip is discreetly added in a detail to the two skylights overhead.  It is also added under the kitchen island to create a floating effect.  Finally the Contour HD24 is also concealed behind the banquette to create a gentle uplight effect bathing the area in a warm wash of light.  Also a feature has been made of the artwork in the nice at the far end of the space with the addition of a low glare Eyelid Undercupboard light.

For scene 3, the final touches are added with some lighting to the outdoor swimming pool space in the garden.  Here Lucca uplights emphasise the doorway and the length of the swimming pool.  At the far end, Wall Downlights light up the outdoor shower.

To ensure you make the most of your contemporary kitchen lighting, why not ask one of our lighting designers to design a creative light scheme for you to suit your interiors.
