Testimonial from Richard Lawson
“We have used John Cullen design for the past 10 years and they have produced magnificent lighting schemes for 3 different styles of houses. Their first scheme was our 1823 end of terrace converted almshouse in a Gothic collegiate setting in the middle of Regents Park, on which we added a glazed box between 2 wings over 3 floors to the rear of the house. Their scheme featured in several magazines. Lighting made the house.”
“Subsequently we purchased a late 19th-century derelict stone barn in a little hamlet in Devon, and John Cullen again created a magical lighting setup, which some 8 years later is still state-of-the-art lighting using a Crestron lighting control system (which has recently been updated). We’ve subsequently introduced John Cullen design to several friends who have become clients of John Cullen.
Lastly we asked John Cullen to design the lighting for the cobbled mews house which we purchased in 2012, and which we remodelled in 2014. The scheme involved glazed roof lights (with LED embedded lights in the glass) opening light through glazed walkways, which themselves were lit from the sides, to the double width entrance hall in which features our collection of antique apothecary bottles lit from above and behind. ….
The best testament I can give to John Cullen is that not only have they created magical lighting into 3 of our homes, but they have worked in tandem with our architects Harrison Sutton Partners to create memorable homes, and were we to purchase another home (probably unlikely) we would certainly be using them to create the magic from lighting.”
