Fostering Young Talent

As a company we feel strongly about fostering young talent and have been working to achieve these objectives with a number of different initiatives.  When preparing young people for the future, even the smallest contribution can make a big difference.

Firstly we have forged a strong relationship with Brunel University in London.  Working with their Department of Design, we have employed a third year Product Design student for their year placement.  In 2015-16 Cara Garraway (right) worked in R&D developing the new Carella garden light.  In 2016-17 Sam Amos (far right) worked on a number of new design projects including the new Portobello.  Following in their footsteps, for 2017-18 Jun Won is working with us.

In addition to this we have been working with the London Chamber of Commerce initiative, the Young Chamber.  Their aim is to help London schools equip students for the world of work by connecting them to their local business community.  We have recently joined them at schools fairs at Archbishop Tenison School and Riddlesdown School, both in Croydon. Whether students were more interested in product design, psychology or marketing, our team gave them useful insights and inspiration to achieve the career of their choice.
