This series of Grand Designs features a house by Audrey and Jeff Lovelock, who are desperate to live in one of west London’s most exclusive areas – but the only way they can afford it is to go underground. They called in Design Director, Sally Storey to bring the all-important light to this “underground labyrinth” which Kevin McLeod describes as being “deeper and darker than average” and maximise its potential.
Sally looks at how to make the dark space into a large, airy and spacious dwelling. Kevin is impressed with the “clever lighting“, which Audrey said “exceeded my expectations”.
